Final Essay
South Central has many positive and negative things one of the good things is that education in the schools get better everyday. One of the negative is that there is a lot of gangs in South Central When you get into a gang it makes you do drugs and South Central is known for a lot of people doing drugs. Another positive thing is that we got god food in South Central because we have a lot of shops that other places don’t got. Another negative thing is that its a dangerous place because you cant be walking in the streets at a certain time or you will get jacked. Another thing is that there is a lot of tagging in South Central.
One event that made South Central today is the Watts Riots. The Watt Riots began evening of August 11,1965 A white officer pulled over a car that was speeding. The person that was in it was Marquette Frye and his brother Ronald. Then the white officer arrested Marquette and Ronald and their mother and there was a crowd of people gathered around the event. This crowd of people started off the riots they destroyed buildings and looted stores that night,the rioting quickly spread to Watts. This event was important because this made the whites move out of South Central.
Second event that made South Central what it is today is the LA Riots. The LA Riots started because a person named Rodney King was beaten by the police on March 3,1991. The police claimed that he was resisting arrest once he was pulled over. They claimed that he was on drugs although he was not. The four main officers involved were brought to trail on charges of using excessive force. the officers were found not guilty. This was important because this also made the whites move out of South Central and this made racism more bigger.
Third event that made South Central what it is today is Crack Epidemic. Crack is a form of the drug cocaine. It is one of the most highly addictive and destructive drugs in the world. During the early 1980s, the drug first came into use in the South Central, LA. It spread out through the entire country. It led to an addiction epidemic. People became addicted this led to families being broken up into pieces. Many people grew up without one or both parents because someone in their family was addicted. this is important because this brought drugs to South Central today now and days.
So one of the events was Watts Riots. The second one was the LA Riots. The third one was Crack Epidemic.Well I don’t know if South Central is gonna change. I think that because now and days a lot of people are doing drugs. If there not doing drugs they are getting into gangs. Its bad when people get into gangs because gangs lead to violence and drugs.
